I did my own version of a Bangboo! (the base mascot is from Zenless Zone Zero by Hoyoverse)
5k tris, one 2k PBR material. Modeled, sculpted in Blender, rigged in Blender. Textured using the Ucupaint addon in Blender as well, and a tiny bit in Clip Studio Paint. Normal baking was done in xNormal. Exported as a model in Unity, then VRChat. Took me less than a week, probably 3 or 4 days half-time or something. (and people love interacting with him in VRChat too!)
